KB Parallels: Does Windows come with my purchase of Parallels Desktop for Mac?
This operating system version will eventually release sometime in 2023, and most likely be known as Windows 11 23H2. You most certainly can revert Windows 11 back to Windows 10, no matter the device. Just keep in mind that, unless you’ve recently upgraded within 10 days, the process can be a bit tedious.
Unfortunately, this useful feature comes at a price. By having it on, access to folders and the system response is slower. By disabling the thumbnail preview, not only do you protect your privacy , but you also help your computer run a little faster. Note the thumbnails are visible on a freshly started computer, but later disappears after some time of working.

But there aren’t many other choices you’ll have to make; the setup process basically runs on autopilot until you see the new desktop. Microsoft has a utility for checking if your machines meet the system requirements available for download. The requirement to have TPM 2.0 is part of Microsoft’s thrust to make Windows 11 more secure by default. TPM ensures that the OS will run only correctly-signed UEFI drivers, applications, and OS boot loaders, locking down the system in case it detects anomalies in the signing keys. It is also why Windows 11 will run only on newer hardware. If you’re still using Windows 7 or 8, you can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free .
- Over time, the thumbnail cache piles up and sometimes get corrupt too.
- When comparing the old and new designs, we can see some improvements.

You may have to press your laptop’s “Function” or “Fn” key while using the shortcuts here. The Snipping Tool has been around since Windows Vista. Windows has warned for a couple years that the Snipping Tool is going away, but it’s still kicking around in Windows 11. The Snipping Tool has been delisted from the list of apps in the Start menu, but it’s easily accessible via the search bar. The built-in Snip & Sketch app has finally won us over and is now our go-to method for taking screenshots in Windows 10 and 11. But here we’re concerned with screenshots in Windows 10.
It’s peculiar that .kra files appear just fine in Windows, so long as they are not in any of my OneDrive folders. And when I first started scansnap ix500 drivers using OneDrive, they appeared as well. They stopped being recognized by OneDrive at some point a few years ago, probably after a OneDrive upgrade of some sort. Another thing I notice is if I go to a directory with MP3’s, all columns such as artists/title/length etc are empty , see the first attachment „FileExplorer.jpg“.
